Complementary is a Minecraft: Bedrock Edition addon which compliments vanilla features and improves upon the overall existing game. It is intended to give the user interesting new tools and new gameplay experiences. This website is intended to serve as a guide to the mod and how it works.

INFORMATION:
This site is still a work in progress. Not all features may be listed or shown.

In your world lies a strange but powerful new force. By exploring the world and seeing the potential in formerly dull items, you will have discovered that the magic system of Minecraft has been greatly expanded upon with new tools and weapons to help you explore the world.
Getting Started with Magic
To get started with magic, you have to create a Wizardry Table, a workbench-type block which allows you to create all of the magical items the world has to offer. However, the Wizardry Table is a more late-game item and it can only be crafted using Crying Obsidian, Netherite Ingots, and Runestones. Runestones are an uncommon item which can be found in the overworld's caves. Excavating Runic Slate yields 1-3 Runestones.
Runes
Once you've gotten you hands on a Wizardry Table, you can begin creating Runes, a very important component of the Magic System this mod holds. Runes allow the player to hold the very essence of the School of Magic they choose. There are currently four Schools of Magic, each with their own Rune. Each of these schools possess a channeling material, an item which holds their true essence.
Creating Wands
Some of the key items of magic are wands. Each school of magic has its own wand, each with its own unique abilities and visuals! Their magic ability always matches the School of Magic's primary purpose. Each wand can only be used once and consumes one of its channeling materials before it goes on cooldown. Each wand has its own cooldown time based on strength. Additionally, using the wand consumes durability, and each wand has its own set of durability points. Wands can be repaired with their respective rune. To create wands, go to the Wizardry table and gather the items needed to make the wand! Making the wand will always need the rune of that School.
Upgrades
Once you venture far enough into the game to discover an Ancient City, you may come across a brand new piece of loot inside of its chests. Incantation Tablets allow users to upgrade their wands. There are currently three types of Incantation Tablets: Cooldown, Power, and Range. Cooldown tablets decrease the time taken to be able to reuse the wand after use. Power tablets increase the effect of the wand, whether that be damage output or explosion strength. Range tablets increase the AoE of the wand, whether that be the radius of a spell or how far it can fly. Not all wands receive the same effect from Incantation Tablets, so gathering all may be a good choice.

TIP:
Only one type of Incantation Tablet can be applied to wands at once. For example, you can only have a wand with Power and nothing else. Make sure to choose the right upgrade!
Arcane Magic
Arcane Magic is an ancient and long-used form of magic that specializes in combat. It consists of quick and shiny attacks that can take an opponent down. The channeling material of Arcane Magic is the Amethyst Shard.

Essence Magic

Essence Magic is an art that focuses on altering and tampering with the "essence" or life force of beings. It consists of primarily support spells which can aid in the midst of a fight such as healing or repetitive damage. The channeling material of Essence Magic is the Ruby.
Fire Magic
Fire Magic allows players to channel their inner destructiveness and obliterate anything which impedes them. It consists of fiery, destructive, and damaging offensive spells which can vanquish any foe. The channeling material of Fire Magic is Blaze Powder.

Ice Magic

Ice Magic can assist players in thwarting the plans of the enemy. It consists of movement-limiting spells that are able to slow down enemies and give the caster time to flee. The channeling material of Ice Magic are Blue Ice Shards.
